Baby, Baby! Meditation
5336 used cotton diaper swatches, drawings etched into salvaged mirror, wood, acrylic paint, waxed linen, paper tags, 18"x 96"x 10", 2001 (A process piece that is a journal of the first year of changing diapers. At the end of each week, a single cloth diaper was cut into swatches, bundled and labeled to represent the amount of diapers changed for twin girls that week. This was done for one year.)

Baby, Baby! Pitter, Patter and Primary
(three pieces installed together), out-grown socks, stuffed with dryer lint, recycled diaper, found foam balls, recycled cotton clothesline cord, three metal pulleys (not shown in slide), three metal sashes, three found wooden handles, dimensions variable, 2002. These three sculptures are kinetic and interactive, inviting the viewer to pull on the cords of each sock-ball, which lowers and raises them in space.
